Turquoise necklace brown cord with beads

Image
This necklace is made in an 18 inch cord (2mm coated leather cord in metallic bronze) and finished with a lobster claw clasp and jump ring. There are 12 total wooden beads on the necklace- six groups of 2 beads spread about an inch apart and held in place by knots. The pendant is turquoise (imitation)-  I made it myself using a decorative silver colored head pin, a silver colored jump ring and a pretty antique silver colored slide bail. Side note- I’ve never worn turquoise jewelry before, but I found a bunch of these beads on sale on my very favorite jewelry website (Fire Mountain Gems), so I figured I’d try my hand at making turquoise jewelry (hopefully to sell it at a local arts and crafts fair this year). But I’ve decided I love turquoise- it’s so pretty! And since the pendant itself is large and beautiful, it looks nice with the simple leather cord ( I’ve also never worn leather cord jewelry either). So you’ll see more of these on my Blog soon. Also- for anyone who makes jewe

Beaded stretch bracelets clear acrylic beads and glass seed beads- pretty!

I love making beaded stretch bracelets. You can use a variety of beads - I like using acrylic beads because they don’t  chip like glass beads and they’re lightweight. I like putting a small glass seed bead in between each larger acrylic bead (instead of just using the larger acrylic beads). I’ve tried doing it both ways, but I think adding the small beads adds more visual variety to the bracelet and makes it more aesthetically pleasing. These look good worn together or separate.

Brown and bronze stretch bracelet- wood beads and glass seed beads with amber gold acrylic bead

Who says stretch bracelets can’t be dressy and elegant? Not me! This bracelet is pretty and versatile- it can be worn with casual clothes or with dressy clothes. It’s made with wooden beads, glass seed beads and one amber gold acrylic bead. I desireded the bracelet so the seed beads are worn on the inside of the wrist and the larger wood beads are worn on the outside of the wrist. This is nice if you type on a computer all day- so you can lay your wrist flat on the small seed beads - you won’t even feel them. It’s also very lightweight.  Extra information for beading enthusiasts:  ðŸ™‚  I strung this bracelet on 1mm stretch cord - a lot of people use .5mm or .7mm cord.  The difference: the thicker the cord, the less stretchy it is. The 1mm cord is still plenty stretchy enough to take the bracelet off and on very easily, and it will fit any adult wrist size. However, it holds its shape better over time than the .5mm cord. So with a .5mm bracelet- after a year of use- it might

Purple stretch bracelets - Smokey amethyst seed beads with assorted purple glass beads

These stretch bracelets can be worn separately but they look really cute when worn together. They’re made on .5mm stretch cord. I finish all my stretch bracelets by tying a knot in the cord, putting jewelry glue on the knot (basically super glue), and then I place a crimp bead over the knot so you can’t see it. Also it makes it basically impossible for the knot to ever come undone. 🙂

Memory Wire Bracelet 3-layers, blue beads- really pretty!

This is a three-layer memory wire bracelet made out of glass seed beads and acrylic beads.

Double strand necklace with Smokey gray metallic beads and a silver heart pendant

Image
This is a double strand necklace- I intentionally twisted the two strands together so they hold their shape. It’s about 20 inches in length, made with pretty metallic gray beads, strung on .3mm silver beading wire and finished with a lobster claw clasp. The heart charm is replaceable - you just need pliers to open the jump ring and then you can put any other charm on the slide bail. But the heart charm looks really nice with the necklace. I get a lot of compliments on this one. 🙂

Black double-strand Necklace with glass and acrylic beads

This one is very pretty! It would look perfect with a scoop neck shirt, a sweater, dress or even a collared blouse. It’s about 18 inches in length, made on .3mm beading wire and finished with a lobster claw clasp. Some of the seed beads are a mixed metallic color- they look prettier in the sunlight.

Necklace gemstones and seed beads in earth tone colors with leaf pendant

This necklace is really pretty and comfortable. It’s about 17 inches plus a two inch chain extender, and made on .38mm copper beading wire and finished with a lobster claw clasp. There are small metal spacer beads in between each of the polished gemstones to keep them from chipping over time. The pendant is opaque white, in the shape of a twisted leaf.

Bracelet three strands purple and silver beads

This is a really pretty three-strand bracelet made on .3mm beading wire with purple and silver glass beads and also metal spacer beads. It’s finished with crimp beads, silver crimp bead covers and a toggle clasp (it’s very easy to take off and on). It’s about 7 1/2 inches- fits perfectly without being too tight or too loose.
